• 12 inches — infants & toddlers under 3 years

• 14 inches — children under 8 years

• 16 inches — children under 13 years

• 18+ inches — ages 14 and up

• 4 inches — newborn to 3 months

• 4.5 inches — 3 to 9 months

• 5 inches — 9 to 24 months

• 5.5 inches — 2 to 4 years

• 6 inches — 4 to 8 years
